Adele Rickerby is an administrator in the Office for Science at the European Southern Observatory (ESO). She joined ESO in 2024.

Previously, she worked as an executive assistant in the Cell Biology and Biophysics Unit and the Imaging Centre of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany. She has also worked as a management assistant at the European Central Bank (ECB) in Frankfurt, Germany.

Prior to these roles, Adele held a position in pensions and benefits administration and payroll administration at The Bank of New York Mellon in London.

She holds an MSt in creative writing from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, and a master’s degree in history from Monash University, Australia.
